Proudly Asian Theatre (PAT) presents, as reading #7 in the Fresh off the Page series:
New Asian Writers Night - featuring ten emerging writers!
"I didn’t care. It felt good. It felt SO good. I was a queen holding court, and it was absolutely intoxicating. The excitement kind of fed into itself and it was like -- it was like I was on fire." - Natasha Lay, MANIAC (On the dance floor)
A mysterious older woman receives some life changing mail from a french concierge, three young friends enter a circle where time stops, an 'interested man' goes way too far on a date and a young mum spits fire about her secret thoughts.
Come join us for a wild night of hilarity and heartbreak as we showcase the freshest new scripts from emerging Asian writers in New Zealand and beyond. Ten newcomers share scenes from their works in progress as we get a sneak preview of what's cooking for Asian writers, right now.
We are proud to be supported by Unitec, The Basement, Q Theatre, Creative Communities Scheme (CNZ) and The Asia NZ Foundation.
This exciting show features coarse language and some swearing.
